We provided a 16-bay classroom block to Leicestershire County Council, extending Cossington Primary’s facilities and enabling them to expand their curriculum. The internal space included a large double storey hall with a suspended ceiling height of 5m, a PE store, kitchen, IT store, plant room, group room, toilets and two classrooms. The hall was built using eight prefabricated bays, four on four, transported with temporary steel which was removed on site, forming the full height open space. A building such as this one, built in modular format, can be extremely energy efficient, with EPC ratings of A, and also offer minimal site disruption, cost efficiency and a high quality end product.
